In order to claim a nation, post here with a short paragraph (4-5 sentences only) of why you want that nation and what you plan on doing as that nation. As this is considered OOC, you do not need to worry about others knowing your game plan.

Example:

I want to be the United States because right now, it's a country with myriad problems and I can fix most of them or all of them. The exponentially rising debt, gridlock within the government, and excess government spending are the top domestic problems facing the US today. In term of foreign affairs, terrorism, the increasing sociopolitical influence of China and Russia, and the proliferation of nuclear weapons to untrusted states are the most potent threats the US faces in 2013 and will continue facing in the near future. In order to combat the aforementioned problems, I will reduce the budget so it reflects the new tax code while limiting military spending through the use of high technological forces to combat asymmetric threats and to project power abroad.

Also, have at least one back-up nation. If you do not and you do not get your first choice, I will randomly choose one for you.
